V. RUNNING THE COURSE.

5.1. Before start the participants should be informed about Course Time lmit, length of the course, succession of the obstacles performing.

5.2. The dogs should not know the course but the sportsmen can be get acquainted with it without dogs.

5.3. On the call of judge for participants a sportsman should be near the starting line. If he is absent for 2 minutes he will be disqualified in the competitions.

5.4. When the course-judge is ready, the sprtsman may start. The stop-watch is turned on when any part (but the same for all participants) of dog’s body crosses the start. It is permitted to the sportsman to enter the ring without the dog and start from there.

5.5. The dogs starts from the ground. It is forbidden to use help to fix the dog on the start line.

5.6. During running the sportsman can use any commands and movements to stimulate the dog to run. Foul language is forbidden.

5.7. During running it is forbidden for the sportsman to touch the dog or the obstacles intentionally, or to perform obstacles, or to come through start or finish range.

5.8. On the standard courses and jumping the obstacles should be performed only in the established succession and direction, which are the same for all sportsmen of present group and class on these competitions. It is forbidden to the sportsman to change succession or direction of performing obstacles.

5.9. The order of running special courses is described in the competitions regulations.

5.10. Time stops when the dog enters finish range.

5.11. Slalom is performed in the next way: the first pole should be on the left of the dog, the next pole should be on the right, the nezt one — on the left, and so on. The dog should round every pole on the required side and should not miss poles.

5.12. On the A-Frame the dog should run up the ascend ramp (with touch of the contact zone with at least one paw) and then runs down the descend ramp with all four legs and touches the contact zone (with at least one paw).

5.13. On the dogwalk the dog runs up on the ascend ramp (with touch with at least one paw of the contact zone), runs on the horizontal bar and then runs down the descend ramp with all four legs and touches the contact zone with at least one paw.

5.14. On the teeter-totter the dog runs up on the ascend ramp (with touch with at least one paw of the contact zone), climbs up until it begins to tip domnward and then runs down the descend ramp with all four legs and touches the contact zone with at least one paw.

5.15. On the table the dog jumps from the required side or from the side and takes the required position: sit, stand or lie, in which it should remain for 5 seconds. After this the dog jumps off the table in any side and continues running. The position on the table is determined by Chief judge before and is identical for all participants. Time counting starts at the moment when the dog takes the required position. If it has changed position, count-down stpos and continues when it takes the required position again.

5.16. A tire dog performs with a free jump through the centre of the tire.

5.17.Dog runs through open tunnel from the required side.

5.18. Into the close tunnel the dog gets through the rigid element and leaves it from the fabric chute.

5.19. Long jump the dog performs with the free jump into the right direction without touch of the elements and ground between them. The dog had to jump between both couples of marking poles.

5.20. The “wall”/ “viaduct”the dog jumps with a free jump, during this easy displaceable elements should not fall because of a touch.

5.21. Double and triple hurdles the dog performs with two or three jumps. Such systems are considered by the same obstacle but performing of every element is scored separate.

5.22. If an element of an obstacle falls without dog’s fault or the close tunnel is tangled, Chief judge turns on his stop-watch and stops the course running.

5.22.1. After all’s all right he asks the sportsman to stand on the place where the time was stopped, order him to continue running and at this moment stops his stop-watch.

5.22.2. During point calculation of this sportsman time of Chief judge’s stop-watch should be subtracted from the total time showed on course.
